Critical Race Theory (CRT)
Political ideologies have rained down upon us and our children using our institutions and schools as a vehicle. One such divisive ideology is Critical Race Theory (CRT) which pits the American people against each other based mainly on race - putting us on the side of either oppressor or victim. Make no mistake, this is political and designed intentionally to maintain strife among us so the political machine may keep and grow in power.
CRT isn't new!
Critical Race Theory (CRT) isn’t new. It has been craftily injected into our societal thought behind closed doors for decades. It has held many labels from “Diversity Training” and “Black Studies,” to “Reconstructing Curriculum”, but the objective has always been the same–divide the American people, because you can’t enslave a people who are united. When Black Lives Matter first came on the scene it looked like we would finally be able to have genuine, thoughtful conversations about real issues and introduce real solutions. Unfortunately...
Our Politicians and Educators
Goldwater Institute - Politicians in Washington D.C. and leaders of the education establishment are not only actively pushing Critical Race Theory in classroom instruction, they are also demanding a return to state-sanctioned racial discrimination in our public schools and institutions under the banners of more agreeable sounding slogans like ‘anti-racism’ and ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion.’ In many cases, they’re now even masking these ideologies in broader, more neutral sounding initiatives such as social emotional learning, culturally relevant pedagogy, and others.
Such efforts must be stopped. In their place, America’s constitutional principles must be restored and the rights of parents defended.
To that end, the Goldwater Institute is leading the defense of the constitution and parents’ rights through two related initiatives:
- Stopping CRT and racial discrimination, and;
- Promoting academic transparency to bring sunlight to our K-12 schools

The threats to our communities, our families, and our faith–the pillars that allow us to live out our freedom–are vast, real, and increasingly hostile.
Among these threats is a radical philosophy, rooted in Marxism, known as Critical Race Theory (CRT). This framework views all of society through a racialized prism of identity groups, with minorities being the oppressed and white people serving as the oppressor. Where Karl Marx separated society into the capitalist bourgeoisie and the oppressed proletariat, adherents of Critical Race Theory have substituted race for Marx’s class and economic distinctions.

NJ S-5427 / S-3565
March 2021, the NJ Legislature passed S-5427/S-3565 and Gov. Phil Murphy signed it into law. The new law now allows NJ law enforcement to provide written notification to parents / guardians of “any violations” by minors who are caught consuming or in possession of alcohol or marijuana in any of its various forms - This on the 1st offense.

Parents are going on the offensive
Across America, states have gone on the offensive, targeting the radical sex and “gender” curriculums in grade schools. These proposals follow increasing calls from parents to reject sexually explicit content unearthed in public school classrooms.
The Parental Rights in Education law, recently signed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, sparked heated conversations throughout the nation regarding sex education and “gender ideology.” The Florida law addresses teacher conduct and material allowed in classrooms. It also postpones any teaching of sexual orientation and “gender identity” until after third grade.

In the state of New Jersey, minors are able to obtain abortion services without parental consent. As long as the minor has obtained the required information such as risks, benefits, and alternatives, the minor may give informed consent to these services without parental consent. All healthcare professionals are bound by law to adhere to HIPAA confidentiality rules unless the minor is suspected of being a victim of child abuse or neglect, is a harm to self or others, or listed by the insurance the minor may be attempting to use.
