HUNGER - A weakened condition brought about by prolonged lack of food.
FOOD INSECURITY - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life.
Ladies For Liberty is a diverse group which understands that individuals and families, for many different reasons, find themselves in need of assistance as it relates to purchasing and obtaining meals. Not easy for many to accept help, we can empathize. This initiative, as is Child Trafficking, is one that is near to our hearts. We hope this initiative, Patriots Pantry, will not only help direct those who can volunteer time or donate money / food items to a nearby food pantry, but to also aid those in need - where to go for meal assistance with dignity. We are ready to be a part of the solution in ending hunger in New Jersey... This is our pledge.
Our purpose and goal through this initiative is to:
Please Contact Us and let us know you wish to join in this effort, and to also become a valued member of Ladies For Liberty. We have room for you!!!
Let's assist the pantries so they may continue to assist others!
Below we have listed our current pantry assistance as well as a food pantry in each one of our great NJ Counties. Though these may change from time to time (for various reasons), we are committed to helping these organizations / pantries in keeping their food shelves stocked.
To obtain this objective, Ladies For Liberty will not only conduct fundraising affairs throughout the year, we will also highlight this initiative at/during our other political and community events. Keep an eye out for these below or on our Events Page.

“For many people, hunger in America is invisible. They don’t know what it looks like or feels like. We wanted to find a unique way to tell people’s stories and give them a voice, so that more people understand what happens every day in America,” said Catherine Davis, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Feeding America. “This PSA campaign challenges people to see hunger in a different way by creating a lifelike portrait that represents the millions of real people who experience hunger.” READ MORE . Hunger - According to the USDA, more than 38 million people, including 12 million children, in the United States are food insecure.
In New Jersey - According to CFBNJ, about 800,000 people face hunger every day. Approximately 200,000 of them are children. When they don’t have enough food to eat, they can suffer direct and dramatic effects on their physical development and mental well-being.
Many households that experience food insecurity do not qualify for federal nutrition programs and visit their local food banks and other food programs for extra support.
HUNGER IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK - Children and adults face hunger in every community across the country. Your neighbor, child’s classmate or even coworker may be struggling to get enough to eat.
Here's a list of some organizations that provide information and /or assistance regarding hunger in New Jersey & the United States. Assisting others when you can is priceless.
