We are proud to announce that Ladies for Liberty, after meetings / consultation with representatives of Tunnel to Towers, will be assisting in their efforts to help:
- Veterans and First Responders who suffered a catastrophic injury while in the line of duty that affects their mobility. Smart Home Program
- Pay off mortgages for Fallen First Responders (Law Enforcement and Firefighters) who lose their lives in the line of duty, or to 9/11 related illness, and leave behind young children. Fallen First Responder Home Program
- Honor the legacy of those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. The Foundation will provide a mortgage-free home to surviving spouses with young children. Gold Star Family Home Program
- Eradicate homelessness by providing housing and services to Veterans who are homeless across America. Homeless Veteran Program
- Assist educators in teaching children across the country about 9/11, the fallen and the heroic sacrifices of first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while saving others. 9/11 Institute

Stephen's Story
Firefighter Stephen Gerard Siller was the youngest of seven children born to Mae and George Siller. At the age of eight, Stephen lost his father, and a year and a half later his mother passed away, leaving him an orphan to be raised by his older siblings. For a while Stephen went through a period of struggle, but thanks to the love of his siblings, and the values instilled in him by his parents, he grew up to be an extraordinary individual and dedicated firefighter. More than most, he knew that time was precious and accomplished much in his 34 years.
On September 11, 2001, Stephen, who was assigned to Brooklyn’s Squad 1, had just finished his shift and was on his way to play golf with his brothers when he got word over his scanner of a plane hitting the North Tower of the World Trade Center. READ MORE

Tunnel to Towers Foundation Chairman and CEO Frank Siller shares how the Foundation formed in loving memory of his little brother, Stephen Siller, a New York City Fire Department (FDNY) firefighter who gave his life on 9/11.
Frank recalls the morning of September 11th, he and his brothers were getting ready to play a round of golf. Stephen, a member of FDNY’s Squad 1 in Brooklyn, had just finished a night tour and was on his way home to meet up with his three brothers. Ladies for Liberty will not only hold stand alone fundraisers in the name of Tunnel to Towers, but will promote its mission each and every year through our other functions / fundraisers / get togethers.
